An injury time penalty try earned Esher a draw against Plymouth Albion in a turgid game at Molesey Road.
Albion opened the scoring early on, winger Fionn Mclaughlin touching down to cash in on an Esher spill.
Alex Davies then added the conversion before a Seb Jewell penalty opened Esher's account after 11 minutes.
A second-half Davies penalty restored Albion's seven-point cushion before Esher's late fightback earned their penalty try, converted by Jewell.
Neither side made the most of the dry and sunny conditions in Surrey to play expansive rugby, with try scoring chances few and far between.
Both kickers also struggled to find their range, Davies and Jewell missing several attempts at goal between them.
The result ensures Esher stay in eighth, two places above Albion in the Championship standings.
Esher head coach Mike Schmid told BBC Surrey: "We were exceptionally good in the last 20 minutes.
"We showed character. We played really well, worked hard and were unlucky maybe not to get the try a little bit earlier.
"It would have given us a bit more time to chase and win the game but I'm very proud with the fightback.
"I only wished we played the whole 80 minutes as we did the last 20.
"This game was about seeing a reaction from last week's defeat at Birmingham and we got that in the last 20 minutes. I'm happy we got the draw in the end."
