Schmid joined Esher in 2005 |
Esher head coach Mike Schmid believes their match against Plymouth Albion on Saturday will be one of the games that defines their season. Esher currently sit eighth in the Championship table, one place above their visitors to Molesey Road. Schmid told BBC Surrey: "It's one of those make-or-break games that you have throughout the season. "If we're aspiring to reach our goal of the top eight Plymouth are a team we need to be beating home and away." He added: "It is a very important piece of the puzzle to finishing in the top eight. "We need to come out with the passion and commitment we showed at home against London Welsh." Schmid thinks it will be a close contest given their corresponding positions in the table. "Plymouth will be hungry because they're going to target the game as one they need to win if they are to survive in this league," he said. "It will be a tight, highly-contested game."
