Guernsey started the season with an away victory over Trojans

Guernsey's rugby team won their first home game of the 2010-11 season despite playing what their captain described as "a poor game".

They beat Old Reigatian 19-17 in their London Division Two South West match at Footes Lane on Saturday.

Captain Blair Campbell said: "There were silly errors, simple mistakes just crept into our game."

He added that the club are aiming to be undefeated at home and be top of the table by Christmas.

Last season the island side lost a promotion battle for London One South in the play-offs.
