Neil McGovern was appointed as Blues head coach in 2008 |
Brighton player-coach Neil McGovern says the Blues are more focused on Saturday's National Vase final than they were for last year's Junior Vase. Brighton beat Liskeard-Looe in 2009 and now return to Twickenham for the second time in a year to meet Dunlop. McGovern told BBC Sussex: "A lot was about the big experience last year. "I think we're far more focused on the match this time around. We can't wait. There's been a good build up and the boys looking forward to it." He added: "I'm sure the Twickenham factor and the adrenaline will kick in. All we hope we can do is to give a good account of ourselves. "If in the last 10 minutes we're in the reckoning it will come down to the players on the day." "It's all good memories that we've got, but at the end of the day it's a game of rugby for 80 minutes with 15 against 15," he said. "I'd like to think last year's experience would count but it's cup rugby and we don't know a lot about them. Anything can happen on the day."
