Brighton Blues overcame Hullensians 20-3 to reach an historic EDF Junior Vase final at Twickenham.

The Blues led 6-3 at half time before two second half tries sealed the win.

Assistant coach Findlay McMillan told BBC Southern Counties Radio: "We're absolutely jubilant, the boys are over the moon at the minute.

"It's just rewards for all our hard work. It's an absolutely superb effort, it was a justifiable result and a fairly convincing second half."

The Blues will go to their first Twickenham final on 9 May, but McMillan admitted there is work to do before then.

"I don't know anything about the opposition as yet but there are some things highlighted in today's game, which was a lot tighter than we usually have. Last week we won 117-0," he said

"There are a lot of things for the coaching staff to work on but we're full of confidence and obviously full of joy that we're getting on the road to Twickenham. It's great for the club."
