Neil McGovern proud Brighton make Twickenham final
McGovern was appointed as Blues head coach in 2008
Brighton Blues player-coach Neil McGovern says reaching the final of the National Vase competition is a proud achievement for everybody at the club.
The Blues beat Cirencester 13-12 on Saturday to book a place in the showpiece Twickenham final.
McGovern told BBC Sussex: "It's not just the 23 players involved - there's a lot of effort that goes in from backroom staff.
"I'm chuffed we've got a big day out that everyone at the club can enjoy."
He added: "Better things are coming from this club and it's a pleasure to be a part of."
It marks a return to Twickenham for Brighton, who beat Liskeard-Looe at the stadium to win the Junior Vase in 2009.
"We've had a bit of experience last year of how to win knock-out games and I think that might have been the difference between the sides," McGovern said.
Brighton will now play Coventry club Dunlop in the final on Saturday 15th May.
