Guernsey's colts were 31-10 down at half-time

Guernsey Rugby Academy Colts battled from 31-10 down at half-time to beat their opposite numbers from Cherbourg & La Manche by a single point on Sunday.

The French side were selected from five clubs in the La Manche region of Normandy and included some of France's national top-100 ranked players.

The island forwards dominated in the second half with Nick Merrien's conversion kick sealing the game.

Scott Jones was named Guernsey's man of the match.

The match was a return fixture to the tour of the region the colts conducted in May.
