Hambly feels his men can challenge at the top of National One
Redruth coach Nigel Hambly has praised his team after they beat Blaydon to secure their second win of the season.
The Reds have played four of the top five sides in National One already this term and Hambly feels his men can now challenge for promotion.
"We want to be top of the tree, we want to be pushing all of those sides," Hambly told BBC Cornwall.
"You'd look at it and say we've played the better sides. And we're a good side and we want to compete," he added.
The Reds turned over fourth-placed Blaydon on Saturday after running in four tries in a 30-12 victory that saw them rise to eighth in the National One table.
After defeats by the highly fancied Esher, who are currently top of National One, and local rivals Launceston (third), Hambly is now determined to build on the winning performance against Blaydon.
"We're not going to roll over for anyone and we're going to keep fighting," he added.
"We're building again this season and hopefully we can stay around the top-half of the table and be a contest for everyone.
"Anyone who comes to Redruth is going to have a hard time, we know that, but we want to do the same on the road."
The Redruth coach cited the strength of his bench as being a crucial factor in his side's rise up the division.
"We've got some good competition for places. And that's what you need."
