Cornish All Blacks have signed former Exeter Chiefs fly-half Tony Yapp in a player-coach role.

Yapp, 31, spent seven years with the Chiefs before being released by the club last month.

"Tony's experience will be vital for us next year in a very tough division," Launceston head coach John Hill told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"He is a player who has been there and done that and is just the sort of person we need to be on the pitch."

Yapp, who had a loan spell at Launceston last season, is also a former England Under-21 international.

Hill said he expects Yapp to be an integral member of both the playing squad and coaching staff next season.

"The things that Tony has done and proven year on year for the last 10 years would suggest he will be a significant contributor at Polson Bridge over the next 12 months," added Hill.
