Gomez made 12 appearances for Leeds last season

Leeds prop Juan Gomez has been called up to the Argentina Jaguars squad.

The Argentine national B team face Namibia on Friday in the second Test after defeating them last week at the Club Atletico San Isidro 62-7.

Gomez was not selected for that game but a good showing on Friday could see him called up to the senior squad to face England in Manchester next month.

England host Argentina on 6 June, with the return fixture the following week in Salta.

Gomez signed a one-year permanent deal with Leeds in April after initially joining on loan from Leinster in November 2008.

Former Leeds prop Kees Lensing will captain Namibia on Friday.
