Vagabonds miserable away form continued on Saturday as they went down 37-25 at Sale in South Lancashire & Cheshire Division One. Vagas led 17-13 at half-time after tries from Bryan and Leigh Kennaugh and some fine kicking by Jonny Beckley. In the second half Beckley added to his total but the Manx side could not keep up with Sale. Meanwhile in Division Two Douglas were narrowly beaten 17-10 by league leaders Warrington at Port-E-Chee Meadow. The visitors made an impressive start to the game and built up a 10-0 lead before Douglas' Sam Randle pulled a try back to make it 10-5 at half-time. The league leaders again scored first in the second-half to lead 17-5 before a late try from Adam Howarth gave Douglas hope, but it was too late. Elsewhere, Ramsey had their promotion hopes dented when they were beaten 17-15 away at Port Sunlight in Division Four.
