The Cornish Pirates ran in six tries in an emphatic win over National One rivals Newbury at Monks Lane.

Prop Bertrand Bedes and scrum-half Nicky Griffiths got the scoring underway for the Pirates with early first-half tries.

Wing Jimmy Moore then went over to give the visitors a comfortable 22-3 lead at the break.

Three more tries including a second for Moore secured the bonus point for the Cornish side.
