Adams' late score was of little consolation for Moseley. |
Moseley could face an uncomfortable end to the season after squandering a 13-point first-half lead against Cornish Pirates at Billesley Common. The Pirates ran out 37-26 winners, leaving Moseley precariously perched in 11th position, one place above the National League One drop zone. The Birmingham-based club had opened up a 13-0 lead early on, helped by the award of a penalty try. But Andy Reay's yellow card handed the initiative to the visitors. By half-time, they had reduced the arrears to 16-10, running in three second-half tries to consolidate sixth position in the table. Moseley had the scant consolation of a try from Jack Adams in the closing minutes. Next weekend Moseley return to EDF National Trophy action with a trip to London Welsh in the quarter-finals.
