To win with a bonus point against a very tough Plymouth side was something we were happy with and not allowing them to score any points at all was particularly satisfying

Sunday is always a day of rest. It is important to have not only a physical but a mental break so that when we meet up again on Monday we are feeling refreshed.

Most of the guys recover actively but some just sleep. Only Tom Johnson has slept through from Saturday night through to Monday morning, which must be some sort of a record.

The match itself was a game of two halves. The wind certainly affected the game, but we made sure that we didn't let it alter the way we wanted to play the game, which would have been an easy option.

Throughout the game we dominated possession but the offload or the final pass just didn't go to hand particularly in the first half. The consequence was a 3-0 lead at half-time.

We kept hold of the ball better, constructed a number of phases and were more clinical in the second half, converting our pressure into points.

To win with a bonus point against a very tough Plymouth side was something we were happy with and not allowing them to score any points at all was particularly satisfying.

This week we are back to the cup stage and we host Bedford. League position and form goes out of the window when you play in a knock-out competition and that is something we are well aware of. Bedford are a quality side with the ability to pose a number of questions throughout all facets of the game.

Chris Bentley
Bentley's postman will hope his Setsubun celebrations are less messy

The third of February is Setsubun which celebrates the Japanese new year.

The special tradition "Mamemaki" involves throwing beans, specifically roasted soya beans at a member of the family or out of the door for good luck. Chris Bentley wanted to take part in this special ritual last year but could only get his hands on a half-eaten tin of baked beans.

Instead of throwing his soya bean substitute at a member of his family, he opted for the out of the door option. To his distress as he threw the red, sauced up blighters out of the door as the milkman strolled past.

He got facially splattered with baked beans but after an apology and an explanation from Chris he has forgiven him.

This year he requested that Chris could have a piece of buttered toast ready to throw as well so that he would have something to soak up the sauce.
