Vagabonds suffered another disappointing defeat in South Lancashire/Cheshire Division One on Saturday, losing 47-17 at Hoylake. The Manx side established an early 12-0 lead with tries from Rob Martin and Ean Mousely plus a Beckley conversion. Hoylake hit back quickly to lead 19-12 at half-time and a second-half try from Jason Bowden did little to help Vagas cause as the home side ran riot. Meanwhile in Division Two, Douglas beat Oswestry 24-16 at Port-e-Chee. The Manx side led 14-6 at the interval through an early Sam Randall try and a penalty try awarded just before the break, both converted by Bryn Snellgove. Snellgrove added a penalty early in the second-half to stretch the lead before converting a Niall Killey try late on. The result sees Douglas leapfrog their opponents and move into fifth place in the table. Elsewhere in Division Four, Ramsey drew 3-3 with fellow promotion-chasers Parkonians. Fintan Cummins kicked a second-half penalty to cancel out the visitors' earlier effort. The result sees Ramsey stay in second spot, just two points behind Linley.
