Simon Skillicorn won round two of the Manx Fell Running League in heavy conditions on a testing nine-mile course at Greeba on Saturday.

Skillicorn finished in one hour, 16 minutes and 52 seconds, just 17 seconds ahead of MFR team-mate Tom Cringle, who won the opening round at St John's.

Manx Harriers' Andy Watson was third, almost six minutes behind Cringle.

Sarah Curphey took an excellent ladies win on her fell debut in 1:47:12, finishing 22nd overall.

Rose Hooton was second lady home in 1:51:57 (MFR, 30th) and Justine Bowen third 2:02:39 (MH, 37th) .
