Redruth could not get the better of the Launceston defence on Saturday

Redruth head coach Nigel Hambly has said his side were second best as they lost the Cornish derby to Launceston 19-8 on Saturday at Polson Bridge.

"I'm not going to sit here and make any excuses today, we were beaten by the better team," Hambly told BBC Cornwall.

"Launceston 'out-wanted' us, they did a real number on our lineout, although I thought we had the edge in the scrums.

"But around the field their game management was excellent so no I've got no complaints," he concluded.
