Mounts Bay head coach Adrian Bick says his side must play better if they are to compete with National Two leaders Redruth in Saturday's Cornish derby. Bay led National Three side Barking 19-0 at half time in the National Trophy but only went on to win 24-7. "We'll have to play an awful lot better than that if we're going to compete against Redruth next week," he told BBC Radio Cornwall. But Bick can bring back a host of loan players who could not play in the cup. On-loan Cornish Pirates trio Richard Bright, Doug Sanft and Paul Andrew were all unavailable as was Plymouth Albion loanee Jamie Salter. | It's a local derby. But Bick said that his side do have what it takes to win, having beaten the Cornish All Blacks to get their first victory of the season. "It's a local derby. No-one gave us a chance when we went to Launceston," he said.
