B'ham & Solihull 31-8 Redruth

Redruth crashed out of the National Trophy at the third round stage with a 31-8 defeat against Birmingham & Solihull Bees at Sharmans Cross Road.

The visitors scored first with a Mark Scrivener penalty from 45 metres, before the Bees took control.

Winger Mitch Culpin, centre Scott Young, prop Craig Voisey and captain Rob Connolly all scored for the Bees.

The Reds finally managed to break through with replacement hooker Richard Brown going over late in the tie.
