Guernsey had chances to win the game at Bognor on Saturday |
Guernsey Rugby Club captain Simon Sharrott says his side have themselves to blame for not coming away from Bognor with a win on Saturday. The island side lost 16-14 on Saturday and saw their opponents move up to second in the table. "It was our missed opportunities that really cost us the points," Sharrott told BBC Guernsey. Guernsey missed two penalties and saw the ball go to ground twice when they had the chance to score a try. "I think we gave ourselves not much of a fighting chance before the game," Sharrott added. "But as the game went on we grew in confidence and thought we could get some points from the game and we definitely should have got some points from the game."
