Pressure on Leeds rivals - Back

Leeds Carnegie head coach Neil Back believes the pressure is not on them but their promotion rivals.

Although still boasting a 100 per cent record, Leeds have seen their lead at the top of National League One whittled down to just three points by Exeter.

But Back said: "We play both Exeter and Nottingham before Christmas. Hopefully after that we see a margin between us.

"It is tough, but I feel the pressure is on them to keep winning and keep up with us," he told BBC Radio Leeds.

After defeating Nottingham and Exeter in this season's first two games, Leeds have led the league ever since, having now won 12 out of 12. But last year's runners-up Exeter have narrowed the gap by claiming one more bonus point - and Nottingham are still in there too.

Back added: "Certain sides will have seen this season as a chance to go up and invested in their squads according.

"As a result, Exeter and Nottingham are both performing well.

"Last year these clubs lost about six or seven games each. This season Nottingham have lost just two, and Exeter one so it is very tough.

"But they have to keep winning."

Leeds have a fully-fit squad for Sunday's home clash with Moseley.

Only winger Tom Biggs and centre Rob Vickerman are missing due to England Sevens duty in Dubai.

BBC Radio Leeds 774 AM and DAB has full match commentary of Sunday's game at Headingley (1450 GMT).
