Hewitt demands more from Pirates

The Pirates won their third successive match at Esher on Saturday

Cornish Pirates head coach Mark Hewitt wants more from his side despite seeing them claim their third straight win with victory at Esher on Saturday.

"We wanted a better performance," he told BBC Radio Cornwall. "Our accuracy in places wasn't particularly great and we made a few errors on the ball.

"[But] it's the second week on the trot that we haven't conceded a try, so that's a positive.

"The momentum's moving now and we're going in the right direction."

Pirates remain eighth in the National League One table and host table-topping Leeds Carnegie on Saturday.
