Nick Griffiths scored the Pirates' first try at Bedford

A revitalised Cornish Pirates put on their best performance of the season to beat Bedford Blues at Goldington Road.

Three Rhys Jones penalties gave Pirates an early 9-3 lead, and they were always in control.

Scrum-half Nick Griffiths and centre Steve Winn stretched the visitors' lead after the interval with tries.

And Pirates continued to make a strong Bedford side look ordinary with many home fans leaving well before the end of the match.
