Cornish Pirates head-coach Mark Hewitt has praised his side after their 26-6 National League One win at high-flying Bedford on Saturday.

"For a change we took our opportunities," Hewitt told BBC Radio Cornwall after the Pirates' second straight win at Goldington Road.

"We were taking opportunities this week whereas in the past we panicked a bit and did silly things.

"Today we had a lot more composure and we deserved the result," he added.
