Griffiths reflects on broken jaw Plymouth Albion winger Geoff Griffiths is set to return to light training on Tuesday, less than a month after breaking his jaw. Griffiths was injured after a challenge by Exeter Chiefs captain Richie Baxter, who was cited for the tackle, during the Devon derby on 11 October. An RFU disciplinary committee dismissed the citing of Baxter on Monday night. Griffiths said he is hoping to return to non-contact training on Tuesday as he looks to return to the side. | I was playing quite well when it happened but I'm sure I'll be back just the same | He has had four screws and a plate inserted in his jaw and four screws in his mouth as well as having a tooth removed. "These things happen," Griffiths told BBC Spotlight. "I was playing quite well when it happened but I'm sure I'll be back just the same. "It's not too bad because I actually had a stress fracture in my foot at the end of pre-season and that had put me back a couple of weeks." Griffiths is hoping to return to full-contact training within the next week, once he has been given medical clearance. He will then focus on regaining his match fitness and is aiming to return to the Albion side by the end of November.
