Dawe hopes a decision over the future of National League One is made soon |
Plymouth Albion chairman of rugby Graham Dawe has hit out at the Rugby Football Union over the uncertainty over the future of National League One. There are rumours of plans to change the structure of the league, making it a second tier for the Premiership with 12 teams instead of 16. But as yet no firm plans have been announced leaving many clubs in limbo. "It's a very scary situation, you've got to fight for every point you can," he told BBC Radio Devon. With no firm decision over the future of the size of the league, teams do not know where they need to finish in order to avoid relegation at the end of the season. "I think we really need to know pretty soon. It's not really right. They really should make a decision sooner rather than later form everybody's sake." The RFU say they will make a decision in the coming weeks.
