Richie is one of two Plymouth Albion players to join Mounts Bay on loan

Mounts Bay have signed Plymouth Albion duo Darren Richie and Steve Johns on loan for Saturday's match away at Blaydon in National Two.

Bay are bottom of the table and hope that winger Richie and centre Johns can bolster an attack which has scored only one try in the last two games.

Bay President Michael Leah told the BBC he was hopeful of landing more players.

"We are in talks with the Cornish Pirates with a view to some loan signings," he said.

Leah also revealed that negotiations are at an advanced stage with a Tongan inside centre, although the deal is "not signed and sealed yet."
