Bay captain enjoys the limelight

Nick Burnett
Burnett scored five tries in 23 games for Mounts Bay last season

Mounts Bay skipper Nick Burnett says his side are enjoying the recognition they are getting as they prepare for their National League debut next week.

Bay travel to Tynedale in National Two after seven promotions in eight years.

"Because of the success we've had it's getting more in the headlines and getting in more of the rugby magazines and papers," Burnett told BBC Cornwall.

"A lot more people have heard of who Mounts Bay are, rather than thinking we're Penzance's second team."

"We're actually getting our own recognition now, which is quite nice," he added.
