Cornish rugby side Mounts Bay have secured the National League Three South title and promotion to League Two. The home side beat their closest rivals Cinderford 28-16 at Mennaye on Saturday to clinch their seventh promotion in eight seasons. Mounts Bay player-coach Ricky Pellow told BBC Radio Cornwall he was delighted to secure the title. "It's been a long year and a great year. To finish at home in front of the crowd that we had was outstanding." He added: "Every time we got on top of them the crowd was unbelievable, and that lifted us and we pushed through in the end. "It's just a great day. I think all the guys and the crowd are just over the moon so it's brilliant." Mounts Bay play their last game of the season this Saturday away at fourth bottom Barking, who they are 69 points ahead of.
