Exeter Chiefs' 15-6 win over Bristol on Saturday augured well for their forthcoming National One campaign after last year's second-place finish. New signing Gareth Steenson defied wet, windy conditions to kick five penalties as the Chiefs saw off Bristol of the Guinness Premiership at Sandy Park. Josh Drauniniu crossed the try line early in the second half but play was brought back for a penalty. The Chiefs continue their pre-season campaign against Launceston next week.
