Chiefs secure Navy player Cormack

Exeter Chiefs

Exeter Chiefs have handed a full-time contract to Combined Services' second-row Marshall Cormack.

Cormack, who plays club rugby for Bridgewater and Albion, has been training with the squad during their pre-season preparations.

"It's great to get it all signed and delivered," said Cormack after completing his move.

"I have now been given a year out of the Navy and I am really looking forward to the opportunity," he added.

Cormack played in the annual Army v Navy match at Twickenham in May.

Chiefs' director of Rugby Pete Drewett is pleased with Cormack's arrival.

"He trained with us briefly towards the end of last season and we are very grateful that the Royal Navy felt that Marshall would improve his rugby skills further through regular training and playing with Exeter Chiefs," he said.
