The Cornish Pirates have signed three young players to their squad for the 2008-09 season.

Wales under-20 fly-half and full-back Rhys Jones is joining from Premiership side Sale. He has also played for Cardiff Blues on loan.

Full-back Richard Bright, 18, joins from the south west rugby academy while 19-year-old Mounts Bay prop Paul Andrew is also signing.

Pirates have now signed a total of nine players in a month.

Cornish Pirates chief executive Ron Coward is pleased with all three signings.

"Rhys is a young man who has already played at a very high level, his future is clearly bright and this is something that both Richard and Paul have the chance to aspire to.

"We are delighted to have them on board."
