 Gleeson has agreed a two-year deal at The Willows |
Salford City Reds have announced they have signed three quarter Sean Gleeson from Wakefield Trinity Wildcats. Gleeson, 22, scored against his new employers for Wakefield as they lost 16-12 at The Willows The Ireland international is the eighth new signing for the 2011 season and has agreed a two-year deal. Director of football Steve Simms said: "Sean is yet another player who is going to bring exciting rugby to The Willows next season." On next season, Simms added: "We are looking strong, even at this stage where our season has only just finished and there are good times ahead." Sean is the cousin of Great Britain centre Martin Gleeson and came through the ranks at Wigan before joining Wakefield and has also had spells at Widnes and Huddersfield on loan.
