Wakefield have signed teenage utility back Sean Gleeson from Wigan. The 19-year-old has struggled to establish himself in the first team at the JJB Stadium, making just seven senior appearances for the club. Gleeson spent six weeks on loan at Huddersfield earlier this season and also had a spell with Widnes. "Sean's a highly talented player, who has a great pedigree having graduated from Wigan - he's very well schooled," said Wildcats coach John Kear. Gleeson is the cousin of Warrington and Great Britain centre Martin, and his brother and Wolves team-mate Mark. He featured in Wigan's U21s and U18s Grand Final teams.
