The former Castleford player has said is happy to stay in London |
Harlequins half-back Danny Orr has agreed a new contract to keep him at the club until the end of 2010. Quins signed Orr from Wigan Warriors in 2006 and he is currently captaining the side in the absence of Rob Purdham. The 31-year-old told the club's website: "Every year that I've been at Harlequins the team and the club have taken huge strides forward. "I'm very happy playing my rugby here, and my family and I really enjoy life in London." Harlequins head coach Brian McDermott is in no doubt about the level of Orr's contribution to his side and said he was delighted to keep him at the club. "Danny has been one of our most dependable players over the last three years and I'm really pleased he has extended his contract," he said. "This club has a transient past, but in recent years we've established consistency with a strong nucleus of players which has given us a real boost. "Danny has played a central role in this and I'm delighted he will continue to do so."
