Huddersfield Giants scrum-half Luke Robinson has signed a new two-year deal with the Super League club.
The 25-year-old's contract was due to expire at the end of the season but he will now remain at the Galpharm stadium until 2012.
"I didn't look around for another club," Robinson told BBC Radio Leeds.
"It was just a case of if Huddersfield still wanted me I wanted to stay. So I was delighted when they offered me a new deal and I'm very pleased."
Robinson has been a permanent fixture in the team since signing from Salford Reds in 2007.
"It has been a great experience to share the progress being made by the Giants on and off the field," added Robinson.
"The club is very ambitious and hopefully we will be challenging for honours in the next few years and I want to be a part of it. I had no hesitation committing myself to Nathan Brown and my team-mates for another two years."
Robinson's agreement to stay at the Giants proves a welcome boost to the club ahead of Sunday's West Yorkshire derby with Leeds Rhinos.
Head coach Nathan Brown said: "Luke is pound for pound as tough a competitor as I have seen. In Robbo we have a player who can play a number of roles in the side and this is important for every squad.
"He is an important and popular player who has a lot to offer our team and going forward can continue to keep improving."
