| Monday, 20 May, 2002, 10:48 GMT 11:48 UK Anderson's bad break Anderson has been an important figure for Bradford Super League champions Bradford Bulls will be without Great Britain prop forward Paul Anderson for a month after he sustained a broken arm. Anderson, who was injured in the Bulls' 46-22 win over Halifax last Friday, will miss Friday's meeting with Challenge Cup winners Wigan. He is also a major doubt for next month's Origin Series, for which he was an automatic selection. However he is expected to be fit for Great Britain's one-off Test against Australia in July. Bulls coach Brian Noble said: "It is a big blow, both to Paul and ourselves. "He has been in tremendous form this season but the good news is that the bone is not displaced and he could be back in action in four or five weeks." Anderson, the heaviest man in Super League, has missed just one of Bradford's 13 matches so far this season. |
