York City Knights display was 'disgraceful' - Woods
York City Knights coach Dave Woods has labelled his side's performance in the 16-16 Northern Rail Cup draw at London Skolars as "disgraceful".
John Davies, Mark Barlow and Danny Wilson scored the Knight's tries but Woods was far from impressed.
"It was a disgraceful effort from all 17 blokes who took the field, really," he told BBC Radio York.
"Conditions were atrocious but it's about being professional and that was nowhere near good enough."
He added: "Bad conditions don't have anything to do with enthusiasm, commitment and the way you carry yourself and what you do out on the field.
"That's an attitude thing and, clearly, there are blokes out there who didn't have that right attitude today."
The display was all the more disappointing after two good performances against strong Championship opponents, Barrow and Featherstone, in the Knights' opening games.
"We've been telling them all week how tough it would be to come here and play," Woods added.
There might be a few blokes who miss out next week because of their performance today

"It's about being professional, they've got to adapt to conditions and play the way we ask them to play, and there's a number who didn't do it today."
The Knights conclude their Northern Rail Cup campaign with a home game against Keighley on Sunday, for which skipper Alex Benson will return.
"We're after consistency and there might be a few blokes who miss out next week because of their performance today," Woods added.
