York City kept alive their play-off hopes as Jamie Reed's goal secured victory over Fleetwood Town.
Peter Till and Michael Rankine had early chances for York and Fleetwood's Will Haining went close but his first-half header was cleared off the line.
Reed's thumping volley from six yards out won the game for the home side, three minutes after replacing Jonathan Smith at the start of the second half.
Ashley Chambers had a chance to double the lead but his effort hit the post.
York close the gap on Fleetwood, who occupy the final Blue Square Bet Premier play-off place, to seven points and have three games in hand.
