Newly promoted York City Knights have announced four new signings for next season's Championship campaign. Centre Matt Garside and second-row forward Rhys Clarke have joined from Gateshead along with centre Duaine Staugheir, 21, from Bradford Bulls. Hull FC winger Dennis Tuffour, 21, has also agreed terms that will bring him to the club on a permanent basis after his loan spell last season. York were promoted after beating Oldham in the Championship One Grand Final. Tuffour became a fans favourite during his time with the club scoring nine tries in 11 appearances. He was initially on a dual registration contract from Hull before a loan spell. Straugheir spent four seasons at Bradford Bulls and was part of the first- team squad for the last two seasons. Garside turned down a contract with Huddersfield Giants last year to continue with his studies in the North East and he was part of the England Colleges squad along with Rhys Clarke.
