McCormack was disappointed with the 20-6 defeat by Featherstone |
Barrow Raiders coach Steve McCormack believes his players will deliver a response to defeat by Featherstone when they travel to Toulouse on Saturday. The Grand Final winners were beaten 20-6 by Rovers on Sunday and McCormack admitted his side deserved to lose but expects an improved display in France. "We were beaten from the first second until the last second," McCormack said. "The whole team just lacked something from start to finish, but we will put it right." Recent signings Matt James, Jermaine McGilvary and Anthony Blackwood, who all made their Barrow debuts last week, are expected to keep their place in McCormack's 17-man squad. Having qualified for the Northern Rail Cup semi-finals, Raiders have been paired with Widnes Vikings in a repeat of the 2009 final.
