Blackwood scored a try for Crusaders at St Helens last week |
Championship Grand Final winners Barrow Raiders have signed Crusaders back Anthony Blackwood on a two-month loan. Blackwood is a Wales international and bolsters Steve McCormack's squad along with compatriot Matt James who recently agreed terms at Craven Park. The 27-year-old has been allowed out on loan after Crusaders completed the signing of former Wales rugby union skipper Gareth Thomas. He will be part of the squad to face Featherstone on Sunday. Blackwood began his career with Leigh Centurions before joining Halifax where he remained until signing for Crusaders in 2007.
