Adam Clayton scored as Carlisle leapfrogged Yeovil in the table.
Veteran Carlisle midfielder Graham Kavanagh almost broke the deadlock in the opening half but his 18-yard volley just missed the target.
Carlisle keeper Adam Collin saved from Dean Bowditch, while Kavanagh saw a second-half effort deflected over.
Clayton struck with a dipping 20-yard half-volley after Glovers keeper Alex McCarthy had punched clear a corner from Marc Bridge-Wilkinson.
Yeovil Town boss Terry Skiverton told BBC Somerset: "We said a moment of quality either side would win the game and to be fair to Adam Clayton he's chested it up and absolutely dipped it in the top corner.
"We've got no grumbles. We've came here quite confident off the back of last performance and it's still a little bit of an away game headache we keep having.
"I thought Scott Davies put a good shift in and people like Shaun MacDonald were absolutely outstanding again."
