Coach Ian Millward (left) and Robbie Paul are two star names at Leigh |
Wath Brow coach Ian Rooney wants his players to enjoy the experience when they take on Championship side Leigh in the Challenge Cup on Sunday. Amateur side Hornets have a history of giant killings with wins over Workington and Dewsbury but all Rooney is demanding is a spirited display. "We're hoping to give a decent account of ourselves against Leigh," he said. "I'm delighted the lads will get the opportunity to be on the same field as the likes of Robbie Paul." Rooney added: "For our young players this will be a great experience. "We're under no illusions about the task ahead, Leigh are a club steeped in history with some fantastic players and they have been great to deal with since we were drawn against them." BBC Radio Cumbria Sport will be covering all the weekend rugby league action across the county on the Rugby League Show on Sunday from 1400 GMT.
