Leigh Centurions have signed four Super League players under the Rugby Football League's dual-registration system. Back-row forward Tyrone McCarthy, Matty Blythe and Lee Mitchell arrive from Warrington, while prop Jacob Emmitt joins from St Helens. The new scheme allows a maximum intake of four players aged under 23 with no more than three from a single club. Leigh coach Ian Millward said: "Our depth isn't long so they could be vital to us in having them available." He added: "The four players are going to be training with us and their clubs. "I'd like to thank both Warrington and St Helens for their co-operation in making these players available to us." Ireland international McCarthy was part of the Wolves Challenge Cup winning side of last season. The RFL system has been introduced with the intention of providing young players not considered ready for regular Super League action, the chance of experience in both the Championship and Championship One.
