Championship One side York City Knights have signed former Bradford Bulls academy player Chris Clarke. Clarke, 22, is predominantly a centre but can also play in the back row. Knights general manager Ian Wilson said: "Chris is a solid young player who is looking for first team opportunities this season. "He is a very strong player who has a fantastic attitude and coming through the ranks at Bradford will have done him the world of good." Wilson added: "He will be given the opportunity to stake his claim for a first-team place in the pre-season friendlies and we are looking forward to seeing him in action." The Knights' first friendly match is on Sunday 27 December against the York Select in memory of former player Lee McTigue.
