York City Knights have signed former Widnes and Wigan second row forward Danny Hill. Hill, 25, is a former England schoolboy and academy player who moved to Wigan after coming through the scholarship scheme at Hull FC. Knights general manager Ian Wilson said: ""We are delighted to be able to sign a player of Danny's quality. "He is a big, athletic player who runs great lines and defends really well and I'm sure he will be a great addition." He continued: "His experience in Super League will certainly help the younger members of the team and we are looking forward to seeing him and all of the other players take the field." The Knights squad is back in training and their first friendly game is on 27 December against York Select at the Huntington Stadium.
