Widnes Vikings are offering season ticket holders free travel to their Northern Rail Cup semi-final tie at Halifax on 21 June. The club are hoping to match the 2,000 fans they took to Salford in 2008. Victory at the Shay would see Vikings through to the final and a step closer to meeting one of the criteria for a Super League licence in 2012. The Rugby Football League have previously stated performances in the Northern Rail Cup will be key in 2012.
