Assistant coach departs Vikings

Widnes Vikings

Widnes Vikings have parted company with coach John Stankevitch following a reorganisation of the coaching set-up at the Stobart Stadium.

An internal review had deemed the position of assistant coach as a part-time role, with Stankevich declining to stay on reduced hours.

Meanwhile, Vikings have signed Hull FC back Craig Hall on a one-month loan.

The 21-year-old made his first-team debut in 2007, scoring a hat-trick and 11 goals against Hunslet.

Hall has played in eight Super League games for Hull this season, scoring four tries, but has recently lost his place in the side after Richard Horne was moved to full-back.

He has been unable to command a place in coach Richard Agar's squad since mid-April and is set to make his Vikings debut on Saturday in their Northern Rail Cup quarter-final against York.
