March twins banned for play-offs

David and Paul March
David and Paul March have been key players for the Knights

York City Knights player-coach Paul March and his brother David will miss Friday's National League Two play-off clash with Rochdale through suspension.

They have both been banned for three games after being sent off in the Knights' final league game of the season, also against Rochdale.

David was found guilty of a head butt, while Paul was accused of dissent and disputing the referee's decision.

Paul has also been banned from the touchline for three games.

It means both he and his brother could have played for the last time this season depending on the Knights' progression in the play-offs.

Prop-forward Andy Bailey will also miss Friday's match after he was suspended for one game for a dangerous tackle, also in the league game against Rochdale.
